Applying Tax
If required, you can collect tax from your guests on top of the ticket price. You can charge taxes like HST by setting your taxes tax value to 13% or you can also charge custom tax values based on your region.
The Simpli Event's fee is NOT included on top of tax, so tax is applied separately. However, the Payment Processing Fee is applied after taxes, on the final ticket price.
You can create taxes on your Settings page or go to this link -> https://simpli.events/manage/settings. Scroll down to Taxes to create!
To apply the taxes to your tickets, you can find the setting to apply taxes under Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Advanced Ticket Settings.
A menu will open allowing you to create new taxes or select from your existing taxes. Then you can select the taxes that you want applied to the ticket. You can apply multiple tax types if you want to charge them separately.
Taxes will appear on the order summary when a guest is purchasing a ticket. Below is an image of what it will look like for your guests on the checkout page.
On the Orders page where you manage the event, you can click on an order to view the price breakdown, including the tax for it.
