Types of Tickets

Simpli Events supports various ticket types to suit your event's needs:

  • Free Tickets: These tickets have no cost for attendees and incur no fees.

  • Paid Tickets: Standard tickets with a fixed price that you set.

  • Pay What You Can (PWYC): This flexible option allows attendees to choose the amount they wish to pay, with an optional minimum price you can set (including $0).

  • Donation Tickets: Ideal for fundraising, all proceeds from these tickets go to charity, and Simpli Events applies no fees to them.

Ticket Availability Dates

You have full control over when your tickets are visible and available for purchase.

  • You can set specific start and end dates for your tickets to appear or disappear from your event page.

  • Alternatively, you can manually hide tickets at any time, making them invisible to attendees.

  • These settings are found under Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Advanced Ticket Settings when you are editing or creating a ticket.

Specific Ticket Links

For targeted promotions, you can generate a unique shareable link that leads directly to your event page and pre-selects a specific ticket type.

  • This feature is located on the Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Advanced Ticket Settings by clicking the "Get Sharable Link" button.

Restricting Duplicate Emails

To control multiple purchases by the same individual, you can prevent duplicate email addresses from being used for ticket orders.

  • This setting is available under Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Advanced Ticket Settings for individual ticket types.

  • If you wish to apply this restriction to all tickets for your event, you'll find the setting on the Registration page.

Maximum/Minimum Tickets Per Order

You can set limits on the quantity of tickets an attendee can purchase in a single order.

  • This helps manage demand and prevent overselling.

  • This option is located under Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Advanced Ticket Settings.

Applying Tax

Taxes can be added to your tickets for collection from your guests. For more information, including how to apply taxes, please see our Apply Taxes Guide.

Discount Codes

Encourage sales or reward specific groups by creating custom discount codes.

  • You can set a custom code and the discount value (either a percentage or a fixed amount) that attendees can apply during checkout.

  • This feature is found on the Tickets page, usually near the top.

QR Code on Tickets

For specific use cases, you can manage the visibility or inclusion of QR codes on tickets.

  • By default, QR Codes are enabled on tickets

  • This option is found on the Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Advanced Ticket Settings, usually at the bottom of the menu.

Sessions

If sessions are enabled, then you can edit the settings for a ticket that are specific to a session.

  • This option is found on the Ticket Page > Ticket Settings > Select session
