Events with Free Tickets
When hosting a free event with no paid tickets, there will be absolutely no fee for you as the organizer or for your guests, Simpli Events will be completely free to use.
Events with Paid Tickets
When selling tickets, there are two types of fees applied:
Simpli Events Fee: We charge a fee of 2% of the ticket price plus an additional $0.80 per ticket.
Payment Processing Fee: Our payment processing partner, Stripe, also applies a transaction fee of 2.9% of the total order value plus an additional $0.30 per order.
These fees are automatically calculated and applied during the checkout process for Paid or Pay What You Can tickets.
For Donation Tickets the Simpli Events Fee is not included! However the payment processing fee is still included on the final order.

Absorbing Simpli Event's Fee
As an organizer you can decide if you want to absorb the Simpli Events Fee for paid tickets, or let the customer pay. By default, the customer is paying for the Fee and that is what most event organizers prefer.
To change the setting, go to the event's Tickets Page -> Edit ticket -> and click the Absorb Fee tab. Below it will also show the calculated ticket fees.
Absorbing Payment Processing Fee
As an organizer you can also absorb the payment processing fee to have that fee included in ticket. To add this setting, go to the event's Settings page and find Absorb Transaction Fees. Click the button to enable or disable.
Fees on Tickets with Taxes and Custom Organizer Fees
When taxes or custom organizer fees are applied on a ticket, Simpli Event fees are NOT applied to those extra amounts. However, the Payment Processing Fee is applied after taxes and custom organizer fee, on the final ticket price.

Fees on Refund
When refunding a paid attendee's ticket, the Simpli Events and Payment Processing Fees are nonrefundable. This includes refunding individual orders or if the event is cancelled.
