Editing and Refunding an Order
As an organizer, you have the ability to manage individual orders.
These actions are performed on the Order Page or Attendee Page. Simply click the order and scroll down to the delete button. A paid order will ask for confirmation to refund.
Partial Refunds
You can also issue partial refunds by going to the Stripe Dashboard. You can access the Stripe Dashboard by clicking on the Profile dropdown the top right, clicking on Settings and then clicking on Manage Stripe Account.
Note: you can issue more than one refund against a charge, but you can’t refund a total greater than the original charge amount.
Note 2: issuing refunds on Stripe will not be reflected on Simpli Events, in case you use Simpli Events for tracking your finances.
To refund a payment using the Dashboard:
Click on Transactions on the left side bar
Ensure you have the Payments tab selected on the Transactions page
Find the payment you want to refund
Click the overflow menu to the right of the payment, then select Refund payment
By default, you’ll issue a full refund; for a partial refund, enter a different refund amount
Select a reason for the refund; if you select Other, you must add a note that explains the reason for the refund
Alternatively, you can click on a specific payment and issue a refund from its details page.
Change Name or Email
Click on the order or attendee to open up the details. There you can click the edit button to change change their name or email. This is common with attendees inputing an incorrect email.
Change Session
You can edit an order's associated session, moving attendees to different days or time slots if your event has multiple sessions. Read more about sessions here.
Delete and Refund Order
You can also delete an order. If the original order was paid, deleting it will automatically initiate a refund to the attendee.
Resending Order Emails
If an attendee hasn't received their ticket email, or if they need it resent, you can easily do so.
On the Order Page, click the specific order you wish to manage.
You'll find an icon button to resend the order email.
You can also copy the direct URL link to the ticket itself, which can be useful for sharing with attendees who are having trouble accessing their tickets.
